Randy Nelson resides in Madelia, Minnesota and began his taxidermy career in 1984. Randy owns Total Enviro-Design which is geared towards making quality habitat materials, such as Quik-Rock and artificial trees. Seeing a need for habitat techniques, Randy began writing numerous articles for Breakthrough Magazine on all aspects of habitat construction (snow, rocks, trees, groundwork, water, ice, etc). he is also an accomplished taxidermist, having won awards at State and World levels.
In this video Randy demonstrates his unique methods of making water and ice effects, using materials that produce the most realistic looking effects that many have struggled to achieve.
