The Model A and C mounting stands will swivel in 360 degrees in two different directions which places the specimen in most positions normally used; however, with this adapter you can now adapt these two models of mounting stands to a third 360 degree direction. So you can place you specimen in any position imaginable. Adapts in Model D Mounting Stand to a second 360 degree direction. Top diameter is 1 1/2".
