Polytranspar™ Lay-Up Resin

This iophthalic (slightly flexible) polyester laminating resin withstands temperature variations better than other polyester resins on the market. It may be used in all seasons for a variety of projects around the wildlife art studio. It is ideal for casting reproduction fish and fish heads, death masks, mold making, standard fiberglass lay-up operations, habitat and exhibit construction, structural reinforcement, waterproofing, or anywhere a good polyester resin is needed.
Note: Although the normal shelf life for lay-up resin averages six months, the shelf life will be reduced if stored near a heat source. Includes MEKP catalyst, dyed red for greater visibility during mixing. To use, mix 1%-2% catalyst with the resin and stir thoroughly. The resin will begin to gel in 8 to 30 minutes depending upon the amount of catalyst and the ambient temperature. (UPS hazardous materials surcharge when shipping over one gallon.)
