Kudu Paint Schedule

Instruction Steps:

  1. Putty all holes, cracks, nostrils, ears, etc. with a paintable material such as Magic Sculpt. Make sure to detail around base of teeth and gums.

  2. Always paint light colors first, finish with dark. Begin with Jonas Off White, spray lightly around eyes and chin, as needed to blend hair slip and blemishes.

  3. Next, use Jonas Kudu Gray to speckle around eyes and any hair slip areas, including the body.

  4. Then use Jonas Dark Chocolate Brown to speckle over the same areas until color starts to blend with the surrounding area.

  5. Use Jonas Dark Chocolate Brown to paint eyelids and lightly speckle around eyes and any hair slip and blemishes, until colors start to blend.

  6. Paint inner ears with Jonas African Ear Base and let dry. Then lightly speckle Jonas Dark Gold over the first color to achieve a flesh color.

  7. Next, use Jonas Dark Chocolate Brown to lightly freckle the entire inner ear. Let dry.

  8. After paint is thoroughly dry, use a soft cloth to gently rub out excess paint from hair and ears. A hairdryer will help loosen paint from hair. Then use a damp brush to wipe paint off eyes. Then use a Q-tip to buff until clean.

  9. Using a fine-tip brush, carefully apply Jonas Clear Gloss to eyelids. Let dry. Using Clear Gloss, carefully spray nose inside and out, as well as the inner ear. Be sure to cover eyes with a cloth before spraying. Hair Sheen may be used to give the mount a finishing touch.
