Antler pins used in detachable antler mounting, for ease in transporting your antlered mounts. The tubing is embedded in the cranium, in which the pin fits exactly. Two sizes are available.
Step by Step Instructions:

Fit the skull to the form as usual, but do not attach firmly.

Take measurements of the front and back tines, between the tips.

With a marker, make 2 or 3 small marks from the burr down the skull so they can be lined up later.

Take a 1/3" or smaller drill bit and make pilot holes from the inside of the brain cavity up into the center of the antler.

Saw antlers off right under burr, with a fine bone saw (larger saws take too much bone out).
