African Lion Paint Schedule

Instruction Steps:

  1. Putty all holes, cracks, nostrils, ears, etc. with a paintable material such as Magic Sculpt.

  2. Always paint light colors first; then dark. Begin with Jonas Off White. Spray lightly around eyes and chin area as needed to blend hair slip and blemishes.

  3. Next, use Jonas Cream to speckle around eyes and any hair slip areas.

  4. Next, use Jonas Dark Gold to speckle over the same areas lightly to help colors blend.

  5. Use Jonas Dark Chocolate to speckle over the same areas until color starts to blend with the surrounding area, including the body.

  6. Use Jonas Dark Chocolate to paint eyelids, and lightly speckle around eyes, and any hair slip and blemishes, until colors start to blend.

  7. Saturate inner ears with Jonas Black and let dry.

  8. Use Jonas Black to paint eyelids, in and around nostrils. Be sure to shape eyelids evenly.

  9. Use Jonas Cat Nose to paint the front of the nose leather to the desired effect. Use Jonas Black to blend the pink out.

  10. After paint is thoroughly dry, use a soft cloth to gently rub out excess paint from hair and ears. A hair dryer will help loosen paint from hair. Then use a soft , slightly damp paint brush to wipe paint off eyes. Then use a Q-tip to buff until clean.

  11. Using a fine-tip brush, carefully apply Jonas Clear Gloss to eyelids and let dry. Using Clear Gloss, carefully spray nose inside and out, as well as the inner ear. Let dry. Be sure to cover eyes with a cloth before spraying. Hair Sheen may be used to give the mount a finishing touch.
