Safety Instructions for Use of Skife Knife and Replacement Blades

Attention:

The fleshing guide on your skife knife should be the same radius as the blade radius. Also the fleshing guide should be only 1/16" to 1/8" lower than the blade.

If guide needs to be re-bent, simply place Skife Knife, blade side down, on table and while hanging onto the handle with one hand tap inside radius of blade guide down with a ballpean hammer or small hammer. Tap along radius of guide whenever necessary. Face fleshing is a delicate operation; therefore, the skife knife should be re-bent if necessary!

Remove dull skife knife blade and insert replacement blade with a flat tipped screwdriver. Failure to observe this simple method could result in cuts on your fingers and thumbs.

  1. Bring blade in to metal fold from the backside.

  2. After the end is slightly started into fold continue to slide forward to the working position by means of a flat-tipped screwdriver.

  3. Always push blade away from your body and make sure there is nothing that can get hurt or damaged in front of the tool.
