Using Sodium Bicarbonate

Sodium Bicarbonate Directions:

Mix one ounce of Sodium Bicarbonate per gallon of water. Soak the hide for 25 to 30 minutes. Always check pH of skin. Skin should have a pH of 3.5 - 5.0, depending on the tanning agent used. Sodium Bicarbonate can be added directly to the tanning vat. It is also an excellent deodorizer.
