Lifesize Snowshoe hare, sculpted by Brian hendricks, is posed running with a right turn and closed mouth.
The Snowshoe inhabits mostly Boreal Forest and relies on a well developed running ability to escape danger instead of seeking cover. They will also attempt to avoid danger by first flattening on vegetation. The Snowshoe hare has a gray-brown coat in the summer which turns pure white in the winter. Some remain gray brown year round in the humid coastal zones of western North America where snow is infrequent.
