Elk Paint Schedule

Instruction Steps:

  1. Putty all holes, cracks, nostrils, ears, etc. with a paintable material such as Magic Sculpt.

  2. Always paint light colors first; then dark. Beginning with Cream, lightly paint around eyes and chin area, only as needed. Also paint duct areas as needed. (Paint will come off eyes later).

  3. Next, use Dark Gold and spray lightly over the same areas until colors begin to blend with surrounding area.

  4. Using Dark Chocolate Brown, thoroughly spray ears, nose and lips. Lightly speckle around eyes, only if needed, to blend colors to surrounding area.

  5. Next, using Dark Chocolate Brown, carefully spray inside ducts, and then carefully spray eyelids, making sure to shape both symmetrically.

  6. Using Septum Pink, spray inside of nostrils. Let dry.

  7. Using Black, carefully paint eyelids over the Dark Chocolate Brown, keeping same shape. Spray nose from inside out until desired effect is achieved.

  8. After paint is thoroughly dry, use a soft dry cloth to rub paint out of hair and ears. A hairdryer will help loosen paint from hair. Use a damp paintbrush to wipe paint off eyes, then buff with a Q-tip until clean.

  9. Using a fine tip brush, carefully apply Jonas Clear Gloss carefully to eyelids and inside duct area. Let dry. Cover eyes with a clean cloth and spray nose inside and out with a clear spray. Let dry. Hair Sheen, may be used to give the mount a finishing touch.
