Field Care for Fish

Keep fish alive in live well or put on ice in a cooler.

Get total length of fish head to tail and total girth around the belly, measuring in the middle of the fish. This measurement will help your taxidermist give you a better idea of your cost to have the fish mounted.

When home, wrap the fish in a wet towel and place in a plastic bag. Freeze until ready to take to taxidermist.
