Silk Span has been used for years to repair and stabilize fish fins. Use Derma Coat Fish Fin Coating as a base coat on the fin and tear a small piece of silk span a little larger than the fin. Place it over the fin and paint another coat of Derma Coat Fish Fin Coating over the silk span out to the edge of the fin. Be sure that you do not go past the edge of the fin. Touch a match to the dry edge of the silk span, and the dry silk span will burn back to only the wet edge of the fin.
