Horn Stain

This new, improved horn stain is pre-mixed and ready to use. However, it is in a concentrated form and, depending on the horn species, you might want to thin it down with a type of distillate, turpentine, kerosene, etc. It is a good idea to color test the horn stain on an old piece of horn or on the skull near the base to achieve the desired color. Apply with a soft cloth or brush and apply only as much as necessary for the shade. Then quickly buff the excess off with another soft cloth. If you feel it is not dark enough, repeat the process.
